Please give us 48 hours notice when ordering your repeat prescriptions.
As this is a dispensing practice prescriptions of all commonly used drugs are
made up in the dispensary on the surgery premises.
The standard amount of repeat prescription dispensed under the NHS is one month's supply.
Medication reviews, eg: for diabetes or asthma, are good
clinical practice and, if you have
a relevant history/repeat medication, you will be called for routine review with the Doctor or Nurse.
To order your repeat medication via email please download this "Repeat Medication Request" (Excel) form or
"Repeat Medication Request" (Text) form and save it to your home computer as a blank copy.
Each time you wish to order more medication, simply use "save as" to create a new copy of the form (you will need to rename it). Complete the form by typing in the relevant information about type of medication etc, then email the completed form to the Practice's address:

NOTICE TO PATIENTS FROM ACHARACLE MEDICAL PRACTICE
We have a dedicated phone line for our patients to use when ordering prescriptions, along with specific times for collection of medication.
THE PRESCRIPTION LINE NUMBER IS 01967 431479.
This line will be open and manned each day from Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 10.30am, after which time the line will be closed until the following day. The usual two days notice from ordering your prescription to collecting your prescription will be needed.
Prescriptions will be available for collection at Acharacle Medical Practice, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6pm, but please remember we are closed between 1pm & 2pm.
Kilchoan prescription collection arrangements remain unchanged.

COMMUNITY PHARMACY BOOTH AT THE
In partnership with Ardnamurchan High School, Sunart Centre and High Life Highland, our new pharmacy booth has been installed in the Ardnarmurchan Library. This is a first in Scotland and continues our aim to provide high quality and contemporary medical care in our remote and rural population.
To make it easier for working people the hours of the prescription collection include some
evenings and weekends. All our patients from the peninsula are eligible to use this service.
From the 8th May prescriptions in Strontian will be issued via the pharmacy booth.
The exceptions continue to be fridge items and controlled drugs, which still need to be collected from GP’s at the Strontian surgery and the start of surgery on agreed date.

Prescriptions can be ordered by telephone or email in the usual way, once your prescription is ready in the pharmacy booth, an SMS collection number will be sent to your smart phone or landline. Please take this number with you to the pharmacy booth and follow the simple instructions on the touch screen for your prescription to be issued. The Library staff will be on hand to assist new users to this service.
